The best hospital in Tokyo for expats. All the staff members from Doctors to Janitors are very polite, caring, try to their best in helping you out. Not all the members speak English but definitely try their best or use the translation service. I visit the neurologist and also had my baby here despite the hospital being a 30-40 min ride from my place of stay. There are some downsides e.g. waiting times can be unbearably long, there's a separate doctor / medical representative for obtaining even minor details and that you have to pay a 5000¥ fee to get onboarded as a patient (unless you have a referral letter or need medical treatment as a measure of continuity) but despite all these, it continues to be my most preferred hospital because of the 1000s of upsides. Also, the pediatrician is an amazing one, he is experienced and knows how to handle babies well. I would give this hospital a 10-star rating if it was possible.

Ladies at the first time visitor desk were extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable snickering and talking about me while i waited. This is a hospital, your job is to make people coming in feel welcome and comfortable, if you dislike doing that then you should find another one. I will never go back there again.

During my visit to Japan in October 2019 I got a mosquito bite that quickly became infected. When I started trying to find medical care in the area I became overwhelmed and couldn’t find any suitable looking hospitals or doctors to visit. I started to stress out and get anxious over the whole ordeal and didn’t know what to do. Thankfully a friend who lived in Tokyo recommended St. Luke’s to me and it was a massive relief. The entire staff was kind, patient, and did their best to communicate with me even though I knew nearly no Japanese. I was seen by a physician within an hour and got my prescription inside the hospital. I honestly cried over how relieved I felt, even though it was a seemingly small ailment. They were just as good if not better than my doctor here in the states and I can’t recommend them enough. I hope to not visit again next time I’m in Tokyo, but I won’t need to worry if something does come up. If you’re a foreigner in Tokyo and need medical care then look no further. Thank you so much St. Luke’s, everyone there is an angel in my eyes.

I went to St. Lukes on July 2019 because my mother had a heart problem, at first it was a little complicated, but after the registration all things went very smooth, the attention was awesome, the doctor was very kind and had enough English skills to inform us about the health of my mother. Unfortunately, my insurance did not go through, but because of problems with their system and not because of the hospital. So I had to pay for everything and I was amazed that the cost of the EKG, lab tests and the attention of the doctor was about 180 dollars. But I would recommend that you have your
