Yasuragi-no-Yu

"Yasuragi no Yu" is a small family-run hot spring in Hachijojima. The facilities are a bit old and include a parking lot, changing rooms with lockers, showers with shampoo and body soap and gender-separated baths. The spring water is salty and brownish and it is said to improve many health conditions, like muscle pain and poor circulation. Entrance fee is 300 yen per person. Nothing special but worth a visit for a relaxing hour.

The bathing fee of 300 yen is attractive. Only one bathtub is small. The grandmother at the reception is also very personal and warm. It was very unpleasant to see one of the users, an islander like "I am the rule here". I will never use it again.

The quality of the spring is very good. After almost every day for two weeks, my skin became smooth! It's a little salty when you lick it. The bath is small. It depends on the time of day, but it wasn't too crowded, so I put it in slowly.

There is no particular feature like this, but it is attractive to put it in for 300 yen.

My favorite bath in Hachijojima. When I'm in a man's open-air bath, an aunt sometimes comes in and asks me how to control the water. There is a cute smile around here. The atmosphere is good and it’s very nice.
