Moegi no Yu Onsen

Small but nice onsen nearby the valley. Especially open air onsen was a great experience during rainy season. The restaurant has a great forest view while having a meal. Highly recommended. You can reach here after few changes on the trains but it’s worth.

They don’t discriminate people with tattoo so big plus. Stuff is very nice not racist like other big onsen. But 850jpy is definitely too much for entrance. There’s decent rotenburo but nothing extra. Would be nice to add some body milk or at least some skin moisturizers.

A little small but decent

Nice spa (onsen) a short distance from Okutama Station. Good place to relax after a long day or hike. Large car parking and cordial staff. They have a small restaurant and shop to buy local products and mementos (omiyage). Charges at present are 850 per adult (JAF members get a ¥100 discount on showing the card). they also have a foot bath which only costs ¥100 per person but pity they close it early.

This onsen is smaller than you might expect. Go there with realistic expectations
