One of the three mountains in Kanto. It is also famous as the oldest temple in Kanto. It was built by Prince Shotoku. It is located on Mt. Kano on the Boso Peninsula. Nearby is the spectacular observatory where you can see the sea of clouds called Kujukaya and Mother Farm. A large gate that suddenly appears on that path. A magnificent main hall in the back. If you go further back, you will find a temple dedicated to the tengu. When you think of an ancient temple, you can imagine a temple with a profound feeling, but it wasn't until the times went on. Buddhism has just arrived in the days of Prince Shotoku. So it's not that big cathedral. When you think of Prince Shotoku, you think of Horyuji Temple, but since it wasn't the capital, it doesn't have an orderly beauty. Rather, you will feel wild strength. Please take a look at the sea of clouds in Kujukaya in the morning, pray for a victory in the Kobuta race at Kanousanjinyaji, and challenge Mother Farm.

After climbing Prefectural Road 163, you will see it on the left side of the slightly open three-way junction. It seems to be the oldest temple in Kanto opened by Prince Shotoku. There are parking lots in front of and next to the temple, as well as a set meal shop and a tourist center. There is no toilet in the precincts, but there is also a wheelchair-accessible toilet right next to the parking lot. By the way, there seems to be a bus from Sanuki station. Some people enjoyed biking, cyclists, and hiking. Although it is a temple in the mountains, the main gate and main shrine are also very impressive. Weeping cherry blossoms can be seen next to the precincts. Please note that pets are not allowed inside the main shrine.
