The de facto representative station of Sakai City, which boasts a population of over 800,000. There are many prefectures in Japan with a population of Sakai City or less, so it's a big deal, but the platform is on the ground plane, the ticket gate is on the second floor, and there are facilities such as Takashimaya. Until the continuous three-dimensional construction, which I do not know when it will end, is completed, there is a feeling of a station that has been around for a long time! It is the 5th largest in Nankai Electric Railway, and is crowded with more than 57,000 passengers a day, but even so, the number of passengers is decreasing every year. This station is a single railway station, and only local buses can transfer, and it is a great station even though no other railway companies are on board. However, the gap between the bustle on the west exit side and the simple feeling on the east exit side is tremendous!

南海電気鉄道高野線の駅。「泉北ライナー」を除くすべての電車が停車する。駅ビルには百貨店が入居し周辺には飲食店や商店街もありにぎやか。駅前にはタクシーが常駐し堺市内など各方面への路線バスもある。また関東方面を始め和歌山、関西空港、大阪空港方面などへの高速路線バスも発着するとても便利な駅。

With convenient transportation, I wonder if I can be satisfied with the minimum of government offices, four major banks, Sakai post office, numerous restaurants, and Takashimaya. However, the drawback is that there are no supermarkets for everyday use around the station. If the Sun Plaza and other stores scheduled to open on the site of Giorno are enriched, we can expect to attract customers and be crowded (* ^^ *) ☆

幼少の頃から知っています。今の方が綺麗ですが、以前の方が活気がありました。少し大きな買い物は難波の次に堺東でした。今は郊外でもショッピングモールやスーパーマーケットがあり、買い物はそこで間に合うので堺東に行く機会は減っています。官公署や集会等の用事が無ければ足を運ぶ事はありません。それでも堺市らしい雰囲気があり、好きです、別名　がし　と言います。カンテレで放映されていましたが、地元では普通に話します。
