和歌山とは真逆でＪＲは市駅、南海は堺. 堺東駅と住み分けされて呼ばれる駅。 今から半世紀以上前の1965年3月から1967年10月迄約2年半の間だけだが、キハ82系特急くろしおの間合い運用で爆誕した、名古屋↔亀山↔奈良↔(阪和貨物線)↔堺市↔東和歌山(現和歌山)間を結んだ特急あすかの停車駅で、特急運行開始に合わせて 金岡駅から改称され堺市駅に成ったようですが、此の駅も含めて乗客が少なく幻の特急停車駅に成ったようです。 関西空港へは関空快速でほぼ満足でしょうが、阪和線名物の先行列車のノロノロ運行に付き合う運行ダイヤならば、京都. 新大阪. 和歌山. 白浜方面へは特定特急料金を設定して、此の駅に停車させれば利用価値が有るように思えるのですが？ 又、幻の特急停車駅に戻るかもです‼

It is a face-to-face platform and is a station with only one line up and down. If it is a rapid train, it will be the next station after Mikunigaoka Station. Kansai Airport Rapid Service, Kishu Road Rapid Service, Section Rapid Service, and regular trains stop. Limited express trains pass through even though they are major stations. The home has a slightly narrow image, and it feels dangerous during rush hours.

It is a representative station of Sakai City in JR, but limited express does not stop. There is no other place where such treatment is performed at representative stations and central stations in government-designated cities nationwide. Only one line for both the top and bottom lines in the facing platform. . You will be reminded of how Sakai is a town in Nankai. I think that Izmiya and Sun Square Sakai are worthy of use in front of the station.

At the time of Hanwa Railway opening, it was Hanwa Station. And merged with Nankai Railway. It became Nankai Yamanote Line.と Renamed as Kaneoka Station. It became nationalized and became the National Railway Hanwa Line. Renamed to Kanaoka Station. And renamed Sakai City Station. In the old days, it was a limited express Asuka station. However, the limited express Asuka was abolished due to sluggish customers. Currently, the Kansai Rapid Service, Kishu Road Rapid Service, Rapid Service, and Section Rapid Service stop.
