It is known to enshrine two-dimensional characters, but it is an old temple with a decent history. It was founded in the Asuka period. The precincts are connected to the Kumano shrine of the guardian shrine, and the remnants of Shinto and Buddhism training are also strong. The hall itself is not very large. If you want to avoid the crowds and calmly see the statue of the Five Wisdom Kings, we recommend aiming for the moment when there are no people. Although it is a local line, it takes less than 10 minutes on foot from the JR station, and there is a bypass interchange, so I am happy that the transportation is convenient.

役行者(役小角)の生誕地と言われる、御所市茅原にある本山修験宗の大本山です。本堂には、五大明王の不動明王が本尊として祀られています。向かって右側に萌えキャラクターの役小角奈(敬愛)、役追儺(えんのついな)の絵馬がありました。役行者堂も中に入って自由に参拝出来ます。
