Amazing place. It is historical, huge and very good for walking around.

It is a temple that enshrines Nichiren Saints. The building is a large-scale Shichikendo, and is characterized by the fact that it has the form of a pair of roofs arranged side by side. In addition to this hall, only the Kibitsu Shrine main shrine (national treasure) in Okayama Prefecture in Japan has a roof with a Hibiki-irimo structure. Soshido is a typical example of a large Nichiren Buddhist temple, which is one of the few in the Kanto region, and its scale and form are positioned as an index for understanding the trends of the common people's faith at the time, and are important as a structure with a clear era. The dismantling and repair work, which started in 1962, was completed in 1997 after spending ten years, and was restored to its original appearance. It is the heart of Ichikawa citizens.

Daiso Shido is filled with people during the New Year and Setsubun. It's usually quiet and the children's roaring voice echoes ☺️

There is a phrase that "Oshi is taken by Kobo and Guru is taken by Nichiren." It is supposed to have become. Of course, this is also the main hall of Omotoyama, which enshrines the ancestor, that is, the Nichiren Shonin, and is an important cultural property designated by the country. The forehead of "Soshido" consists of the brush of Honami Koetsu. If you like history and religious architecture, this is a spot you should visit even if you are not a Hokke believer. Many celebrities are called to setsubun and the beans are fired.
