Tokyo Central Post Office

This post office is located very close to Tokyo station. Staff is very kind and helpful. The operating times are longer than the usual post offices in the city, so that the waiting time is relatively longer here to be served. There is a boutique section where you can buy postcards, pencils, envelopes and other cute souvenirs. It worth the time just to wonder around inside the building.

I love the building of the old Central Post Office near Tokyo Station. They have done an incredible job with the restoration of this building! I stopped into the Central Post Office to look at Japanese-style Christmas cards and saw this dazzling blue LED Christmas card that I thought would make a wonderful gift until I saw the price of 1600¥ (roughly US$14.50). That was a bit much for a greeting card with a battery that would run down! Anyway, the real point is visit this incredible post office and the gorgeously restored buildings! (I regret not taking the time to take photo of the building!)

Restricted banking services for foreigners but location Very convenient. If only they have a longer operating hours for ATM. Good services but need more English speaking staff.

You love postal stuff? I recommend this place! You can find some Tokyo station exclusive postal stuff here. The place is not really big, but waaaah! You will love it. Just 4 minutes walk from the Tokyo station.

lots of stamp and stationery selection. kind staff. pretty empty at 11am on a Friday.
