2-3 minutes walk from Keisei Nishifune station. The Shingon sect, the Toyoyama school, the beautifully planted stone lanterns, and the main hall are excellent. It is a temple where you can cut out the photogenic scenery.
There is a "Shin-Shikoku Osamu Shrine" in the precincts. There are stone pagodas that contain the "sand" of the 88 places of sacred grounds in Shikoku. If you walk and walk in sequence, you will find that you have the same merit as you did a pilgrimage to Shikoku. Thank you.
According to the website, "The history of Shoninji is not so old."
In 1908, “Shakukakuji” and “Enmeiin” merged, and the mountain name was changed to “Yamanoyama” under the name of “Yamanomura”.
The main priest is "Fuzokai Gochiyorai". It has a dramatic history of being discovered in the ground of Shokakuji Temple before the merger in the Edo period. Although it was severely damaged, it was found in recent academic research that it was from the end of the 10th century to the 11th century. It was probably in good condition that it was in the soil and did not decay. It is a "secret Buddha" and you can't see it even if you dive in. It is said that the book is open only during New Year's Day, but it is on the explanation signboard of the Funabashi City Board of Education set up in the parking lot, so please have a look.
Shoenji is just a few minutes walk from Keisei Nishifune Station. 「It seems that the two temples," Shokaku-ji "and" Enmeiin ", which used to be around here, merged to form" Shoen-ji "from one letter of each. At the parking lot, a bulletin board on the “Wooden Gochi Nyorai Statue” was set up and explained as follows.

Dainichi Nyorai is considered to be the supreme and absolute existence of esotericism in the sense that it is a Buddha with a light of wisdom that exceeds the light of the sun. The Gochi Nyorai, which expresses the five "wisdoms", is located in both the Buddhism world, which preaches the mercy of Dainichi, and the Kongo world, which preaches wisdom. The constitutions of Dainichi Nyorai and the other four Nyorai are different in the Tsutsumi world and the Kongo world. The five Buddha statues at Shoenji Temple are Gozo Nichirai, with the honor of Dainichi Nyorai. I have arranged. From the material, structure and style, it is thought that it was originally made at the same time as one wisteria and five Buddhas. The height of Dainichi Nyorai in the center is 59cm, and that of the other four is around 41cm. Dainichi Nyorai and the three Nyorai bodies are made of Kaya wood with both legs cleaved, and one Nyorai is a modern complement. Each of the statues has a round body, rich volume, a shallow carving, and a gentle face with a round face. Judging from these features and structure, it is thought to have been created between the end of the 10th century and the 11th century (Heian period), and is said to be the oldest Buddha statue in the city. In addition, there are few examples of the statue of Buddha Gochi Nyorai, and the existence of a statue created by the Heian period is very valuable nationwide. In addition, Shoenji was a temple established in 1908 by the merger of Shokaku-ji (currently Nishifuna 2-chome) and Enmeiin (currently the land of Shoenji), and the Gochi Nyorai statue was enshrined at Shokaku-ji. . It is noteworthy that such valuable Buddha statues have been transmitted to the land of Nishifune.

In the temple, there is a statue of Kobo Daishi, the ancestor of the Shingon sect, and a stone pagoda containing sand at the 88 pilgrimage site of the Sacred Ground of Shikoku. If you walk here, there is the same virtue as the Shikoku pilgrimage. It has become a 88-year-old sand stomach worship place in Shin-Shikoku.
A temple of the Toyoyama school of Shingon sect in the former Yamanoyama.
On the left side of the doorway, the priests have written the famous sayings such as celebrities with a writing brush and posted it, and it changes regularly so it is entertaining even for passers-by. (Since it is a wise quote that I can understand from the bottom of my heart!)
When you enter the site of the temple, there is a "Shin-Shikoku 88 places" sand-trading place on the left side, and when you enter the U-shaped passage, the sand on the ground is red, and on the left and right are Shin-Shikoku 88 places. Since the stone towers are lined up, if you touch the upper part with your left hand and your right part with your right hand, you will make a pilgrimage to the 88 shrines without going to Shikoku. (Thank you because Shikoku is far)
There is a statue of Kobo Daishi in the center of the U-shaped passage, so you can see it immediately.
The air conditioning was effective, and it was possible to do a lawsuit even on a summer day.
Since the temple of the Shingon sect same as my home when I went to there is always pray
