wonderful historical temple
It is a family temple of the Mikawa Matsudaira family and has a close relationship with Ieyasu Tokugawa. The temple name of Daiju-ji was given in the hope that the descendants of the Matsudaira family would become shoguns. From the power of the Matsudaira clan at that time, it seems that the big words are too big, but everyone knows the result. The only building designated as an Important Cultural Property is the Tahoto, which is located in a corner of the precincts, but both the Sanmon and the main hall are quite majestic and impressive. Reizei Tamechika's barrier painting (National Important Cultural Property) is also open to the public in the storage.
The mortuary tablets of successive Tokugawa shoguns are enshrined in the mortuary hall, and the height of the mortuary tablets is said to be equal to the height of the shogun. Although it is generally smaller than the current Japanese, the outstanding smallness of the mortuary tablet of the fifth shogun Tsunayoshi stands out. There is a theory that Tsunayoshi had short stature based on this mortuary tablet.
There is an anecdote that Ieyasu Tokugawa was hidden after the defeat in Okehazama. Of course, although it is recommended by the Matsudaira and Tokugawa families, there is no excessive deification, and even if you don't like Ieyasu so much, you can worship without a nose.
If you like paintings in the early modern period, the storage room alone is quite impressive, and the rating is ☆ 4.
This is an absolutely recommended temple.
I have to go to lose (laughs)
I think the most attractive thing about Daiju-ji is that it is a place where you can feel the feelings of Ieyasu, the Matsudaira Tokugawa family, and the people who lived in that era.
I still feel like I'm watching over Okazaki Castle and us (laughs).
By the way, Daiju-ji is the family temple of the Matsudaira and Tokugawa shoguns.
"Taiki" is the Chinese name of Shogun Shogun, and it is said that Mr. Matsudaira prayed for the birth of a shogun.
In an anecdote, Motoyasu Matsudaira (Ieyasu) lost Yoshimoto Imagawa and fled to Daijuji Temple in the Battle of Okehazama, trying to commit suicide in front of his ancestor's grave.
At that time, the honor of the chief priest preached the sutra of "Samsung Jodo" (Onriedo Gongujodo), "Live to build a clean world", and stopped, survived, settled the world, and made peace. It is said that he has decided to build a new world. Since then, it is a famous story that Motoyasu used this word as a horse sign.
Also, at this time, the temple was surrounded by field warriors aiming for Motoyasu, but there is also a story that a temple priest with a mysterious power fought over the gate Kannuki and dismissed the enemy.
Regardless of whether it is historical or not, Ieyasu is said to have named this Kannuki the "Kanuki God", and it is still enshrined as a treasure of Daijuji Temple.
■ Highlights
・ Tahoto (important cultural property of the country), which is said to be the most beautiful in the Tokai region, is just astringent!
・ Matsudaira Yatsushiro's grave
・ Vista Line (Okazaki Castle can be seen from the precincts through the Sanmon and Somon. People who are hard to see can easily see it by going out of the Sanmon and looking across the road. (The Vista Line is a straight line of about 3km connecting Okazaki Castle and Daijuji Temple, historically. The view has been protected by people's thoughts for about 370 years, which has not changed in the past.)
★ Life-sized mortuary tablets of the Matsudaira family and successive Tokugawa shoguns
★ Wooden statue of Ieyasu
★ Reizei Tamechika Fusumae (National Important Cultural Property)
★ Nukigami
★ Castanopsis tree planted in 1560 when Ieyasu was 19 years old (unusual for castanopsis trees over 460 years old)
★ Between Shogun and Antechamber
There are too many other attractions such as.
(★ is a total admission fee of 400 yen, definitely worth seeing)
The temple itself is related to the Tokugawa family, and Nyorai-sama is quite impressive.
The sliding doors were not seen in Corona, but the life-sized mortuary tablets are quite interesting.
Vistaline (which looks straight from the main shrine to Okazaki Castle through the gate) is also interesting, but you will want a telescope
However, what is most remarkable about this temple is the parking lot shop?
The moment you get off, a nice fragrant scent drifts
I really wanted to eat Gohei mochi, but I ordered one Mitarashi dango and oden.
...
......
I've been kneading dumplings since I received the order!
When I ate oden while I was waiting, I kneaded it and a freshly baked mitarashi dango came out.
Insanely delicious
To be clear, I have never eaten Mitarashi dango like this
If you eat around Kyoto, it will cost about 3 to 400 yen for two bottles.
That's 80 yen per bottle!
It doesn't matter if the cost performance is good
Oden is also quite
I want to drink alcohol
The Gohei mochi that I missed was probably delicious.
Higashi Okazaki's "Dragon's Spawn" (Izakaya) is called this shop, and is Okazaki sleeping with unexpected gourmet food? It was a city
