Charming station, before and after the renovation. A notable stop for the Yufuin no Mori train.

Not just a train station but a really lovely new waiting room/seated area. There are a few coin lockers outside (not many; although there are a couple of large ones with the smalls - there are also a few lockers at the bus centre across the road, but they only have small and medium there).

This station was renewed and now it's beautiful and very stylish. Not many train come and stop here though.

Visited on October 17, 2020. The base station for sightseeing in Hita. All trains, including limited express trains, stop. In addition, there are separate stations for Kurume and Oita. The first trains from all directions depart from here, so you can sit back and depart slowly. The station building is new and very beautiful. There is a HITA monument in the station square, and for some reason the letter I is missing. When taking a commemorative photo, you can have a slightly elaborate experience of standing at the position of I and becoming one of the letters to complete HITA.
