I was wondering the area and found this gem. The cherry blossom was out and it was beautiful against the temple as the sun was setting. I met the owner/monk and although he barely spoke any English, and I barely speak any Japanese he toured me around and was very friendly. Was a beautiful and fun experience conversing with this monk and exploring the temple.

(2020/03/25) I went again. The weeping cherry trees are in full bloom. It's beautiful. (20th March, 2020) I went to see the weeping cherry blossoms of Hakusensji for the first time in more than a dozen years. I thought it would be a little early, but it was still early, maybe Ni-Sanbu blooming. Is it in full bloom around the middle of next week (around 3/25)? . There is a big weeping cherry tree in the back.

A sightseeing spot under the drooping cherry blossoms. Dajare of the priest is also the best
