I had a good expereince at the 500 yen theater, i suggest that removing some of the seats to allow for space for people who are standing there. Mostly senior citizens/married old fathers. Good for old uncles chasers.

Okura Cinema is a movie theater where they show pink genre films from old films to new films. Expect a different kind of experience when you go here. There is a saying-- if you go to this kind of theater, it is better not to go alone. Sometimes they have an event where the filmmakers appear and greet the audience (you might wanna check the schedule on their website for that). Overall, it was an unique experience.

Famous pink cinema in Ueno. Well patronised by middle aged men as evidenced by the long queues on a Sunday. Too long a wait to enter.
