Italian Embassy Villa Memorial Park

A nice little spot! The weather was foggy when I visited (end of June), but it was still very peaceful and relaxing. A great escape from the city. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it must be with clear weather. I paid ~300yen for access to the Italian and British villas. They're small, not much in terms of furniture that could be interesting to a Westerner, but the history behind them is very intriguing. The Italian Villa also smells delightful due to the cedar bark.

I went here when I was about 14 and it was fricking magical. The tree syrup candies are also really interesting. This is worth the look around

Although it was under renovation, it is still worth visiting. It is a unique architecture that use cedar bark and bamboo as key materials. Unlike the old british embassy, the pier outside the building is accessible and a good spot for photograph. There is also a cafe in the facility.

Very nice spot for a visit. Coffee and tea available in tiny attached cafe. The views are amazing. You can sit on a chair and relax while looking out at the lake.
