Hotoji

It is a temple of the Nichiren sect in Yabasehoncho, Akita City. The principal image is the Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha, who was founded in the 7th year of Hoei (1710). It owns a stone five-storied pagoda (a tangible cultural property of Akita City) and a stone statue of Nio, which are rare in Japan.

It's a waste to see only the treasure tower and go home. I think it is worth seeing the temple gate and Mt. Shichimen (palace) together.
