Spice Cafe

A unique eating experience in Oshiage Tokyo within walking distance of Skytree.You need to use Googlemaps to find it and would easily pass by the little entrance to this secret gem set in an old wooden private house. We explained the day before to the owner chef that I have a rare red meat allergy so he modified the set menu for me the next evening using duck and shrimp.We also chose to go with the recommended wines for each serving.We could have opted for a tea tasting. There were about 8 courses of gourmet servings and none disappointed. It's best to make a booking. Not inexpensive but highly recommended for a special occasion. The food is not typically Japanese but the atmosphere and attention to detail and presentation is. The waitress was delightful.

Japanese and Indian fusion in a small wooden home. Fantastic service and outstanding food. The curry was the best I've had! Reservations needed on busy nights. Extremely accommodating staff that asked about allergies and food preferences when the reservation was made. Owner speaks English well and some waitstaff speak English. This was the best meal and dining experience I have had in Japan!

One of the few places where the curries are not overly oily. The lunch was reasonable and delicious; we loved the sides that came with the rice. Quite close to what you would get at home in India!
