It is a temple of the Soto sect whose mountain name is called Kodakayama, and was built in 1533 by the lord of Kodaka Castle, Kotaro Tamiki, as Mr. Odaka's Bodhisattva Temple, and from Entsuji Temple (Mito City), Yukiniwa Osho. We welcomed and opened the mountain. In 1591, Mr. Odaka was destroyed by the capture of Mr. Satake, the temple near the castle became Jokoin, and Kotokuji changed its location and was rebuilt in 1700 (Genroku 13). it was done. The "Eleven-faced Kanzeon Bosatsu statue", which is enshrined in the main hall and is said to be beneficial for safe delivery and child-rearing, has eleven faces and gives relief to all sentient beings by arranging faces in all directions. It is said to be directed and is designated as a tangible cultural property (sculpture) of Namegata City. There is a parking lot on the right side of the slope.

* Completely personal content. Visited by grandfather's grave visit. It is a quiet place just uphill. When I come here, my memory of having visited the grave with my father and mother when I was a child is restored. When you go by car, go to the parking lot with a sloping slope. Elgrand, Alphard, Bellfire and other minivans may be a little tricky because they are narrow.
