Great riverside scenery
On the river and free. Bridges are few and far between, so plan accordingly.
It is a riverbed where you can camp for free. It is possible to drive in a car on the entire lawn. There is also a tip-based toilet, which is managed by the local residents.
It is a valuable campsite that anyone can easily use, so I would like everyone to follow good manners and use it carefully.
When I asked the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Mie Prefecture, it was not a campsite, but
It was just a "river bed".
Many camps are set up on the riverbed throughout the year.
It is large enough and generally flat. The slope is also gentle.
The grass is fully grown, but it is well maintained in summer and early spring.
Personally, it's a very good environment.
There is a restroom (separate for men and women) and a bite of water outside.
There are three large men's toilets, from the back, Western style (Japanese style with simple Western style toilet seat installed), Japanese style, and Japanese style.
It seems that there were five small ones.
Both large and small are flushed.
A "box of good intentions" is set up in the restroom, and we are asking for the cooperation of 100 yen per camp.
Public toilets, water supply, grassland maintenance, etc., even if it is not a campsite,
I think it's cheap because the camp is maintained so that it can be done comfortably.
It depends on the weather, but when it rains heavily, it will be with the Kumano River, which is a little west.
A slightly unusual phenomenon can be seen at the confluence of the Kitayama River.
The water of the Kumano River turns earthy during heavy rain.
On the other hand, the Kitayama River is a clear stream with greenery.
The colors collide at the confluence, but it is a wonderful two-tone color.
The colors mix in the downstream, but at the confluence, they are separated as if a line was drawn without mixing.
Please take a look if you have a chance!
At first, I was amazed at the lawn without any stones. Really there are no stones under the lawn at all. You can see the hardships of the people in the managed area.
In addition, the manners of the users were very good, and I was able to spend the night very quietly and comfortably. It's basically free, so I thought it might be full of crap, but I'm really grateful for this comfort.
All the trash is completely taken home by myself. The washroom also has only one small sink next to the toilet. If you come to such a campsite, you will be able to learn the art of camping that produces as little garbage as possible and uses almost no unnecessary water.
There is a well-meaning box in the bathroom restroom. We look forward to working with you in the future.
