The nurses and vet were all very friendly and willing to help, especially since I don't speak much Japanese... But the vet handled my poor bird very roughly and cut its nails way too short (that hurts!). I was the one who asked for the trim, but if they were already too short, they could've just stopped and told me instead of going through with it all the way. I wouldn't have argued with them (I trusted them!). So yeah, I'm not going back there. I'll just find a dedicated aviary vet in Takasaki or something.
