The Yakushido is located in the west of the Kagemuido precinct, which is called "Hashimoto Yakushido." In the precincts of Sensoji Temple, it is said to be an old building together with Rokkakudo and Nitenmon as a building before the Edo period. It seems that the original Yakushido was on the north side of the main hall and was called "Kitayakushi". In the second year of Keian, the third shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu was rebuilt in the northwest of the main hall. The reason why "Hashimoto" is, it is said that Iemitsu named it "Hashimoto Yakushido" because there was a small bridge nearby. It seems that it was only recently moved to the current location in 1994. Cherry blossoms in spring, azaleas in early summer, and autumn leaves and yellow leaves of ginkgo are outstanding.

The Yakushido was called Hashimoto Yakushido when it was called Kita Yakushi because it was in the northern part of Kannon-do at the time, and when you saw this shrine next to the bridge over which the third shogun, Iemitsu Tokugawa, crossed the moat 🙏 In Sensoji Temple, it seems to be the oldest building next to Nitenmon and Rokkakudo. It's lit up at night and it's really cool, so I recommend watching it at that time 🦉🦉🦉
