Chibo Okonomiyaki Restaurant

Took ages to get in the door but fun to cook your own okonomiyaki

Nice restaurant with a complete separate section for “Halal Food”. Non-Halal Section is at ground floor, but when we stepped in, they took us to the 7th floor Halal Section, less crowded and prayer room (not big prayer room, enough for 2 people at a time). Food is nice, not vary in selection, mainly fried soba noodle, and okonomiyaki (which also have soba noodle). And, we did try Wakyu Beef, taste was good, 100g at ¥10,000. I recommend you to order a bit medium rare because the table equipped with a big hot flat pan, which you can continue cooking beef to medium or even well done if you like. Food is tasty. Not bad to sit and relax from a long walking day.

We came in at 5pm so the restaurant was only half occupied. Our food came in reaaaaalllllyyyyy slow. Waited for almost an hour for the okonomiyaki. Servings were small. Overpriced and overrated. If you're looking to have a good dinner experience in Dotonbori, look elsewhere.

Chibo is one of the best Okonomiyaki restaurant in Osaka. In generally here is must-eat spot to most of Korean traveler. Here is head office and 1st store. But they operate many franchise in Osaka, so you'd better find Chibo near you on Google maps. Most of Chibo serve similar quality of taste and atmosphere. Enjoy Lol

Really great service. Came here with the family but after we sat down and ordered, we realized we wouldn’t have time to finish eating before we had to meet back up with our tour group. The staff kindly got our order through a bit faster and packed it to take away for us. The food is nice but the portion sizes are pretty large. If you can’t eat too much you can ask to make it a smaller serving size.
