Ramen Yashichi

We went there in March and were very impressed. Excellent service and humble Japanese style as always, big smiles from everyone from the restaurant. Ramen was superb, very tasty and rich soup and reasonable price as well! Although they had many customers in line but they had well-managed system too. Highly recommended!

Don't judge a ramen restaurant by it's cover. Nestled among apartments near Chayamachi in Osaka, with a nondescript, plain front, you might walk by Ramen Yashichi without a second glance. But the line of customers eagerly waiting in front of the restaurant know otherwise. The restaurant offers three types of ramen: soy sauce, salt, and dipping-style tsukemen, all with a delicious chicken base. I ordered their shoyu chashu ramen for 730￥ and a side of hetameshi grilled pork rice bowl for 370￥. First off, the pork rice bowl was really delicious, as the pork was just freshly cooked and had a great, smokey taste. Luckily, I could enjoy more of that delicious pork in the ramen. The ramen had a rich chicken taste in the broth, but yet it still remained more on the medium side. The soy sauce egg was a bit overdone, but flavorful and the noodles really had a nice, chewy texture. Unfortunately, I thought the ramen was too oily in the end, leaving me with a slight greasy mouthfeel afterwards. One other cool thing about the restaurant is that there is a ticketing system so you know when to come back, potentially eliminating extremely long lines. Worth a stop by to give their unique flavors a shot.

Excellent ramen and a must have if you're in Osaka. Both the dipping style and the normal style are great - they both have amazing grilled chicken pieces and the dipping style comes with juicy pork slices. Be prepared to take a ticket and wait up to an hour if you come as a group.

We arrive around 3pm...lined up outside...the friendly lady came.out to greet us and informed us about the waiting time of 30mins...if u agree she will then give u a ticket on when wat time to return...walked around the neighbourhood abit before returning back for our turn When its your turn you have to order from the vending machine...overall it was amazing tasty ramen...served by a smiling chef!
