On August 17, 2020, I got on the Kiha 120 from JR West from Itoigawa Station. The area north of Minami-Otari is an unexplored local section that undulates along the river. The view of the Northern Alps and lakes is good south of Minami-Otari, and the trains are electrified for a refreshing ride.

I didn't think the wind was so strong, but the section between Minami-Otari Station and Itoigawa Station was suspended due to the typhoon. Only eight people took the alternative taxi. I was satisfied with the route with few flights.
