Kumano Hayatama Taisha

Beautiful temple. Serene and quiet retro town. One of the three main temples in the Pilgrimage path.

A very basic old style Japanese hotel. No porter service. DIY with your luggage check in/out. The only selling point is the view if you book the seaview room. Breakfast is also good. There's also laundry facility.

Nice and quiet place. Very rare to see tourists there. Very kind locals in the place. It is walking distance away from the train station. Only thing to consider is that the town is quite empty, with some retro shops...

Interesting temple part of the world heritage pilgrimage route in the mountains.

Great place. If you take the walk, be prepared for a slightly higher difficulty. The nature stones are really slippery in rain, but you can easily get close via bus. Main problem might be fog. I recommend the pagoda for a great photo of the waterfall
