Good Food. Fairly spicy curry. If you can eat the level 50 spicy curry you can have your picture put on the wall. The food and price is good and the variety of options is solid as well. No English on the menus (or spoken) so get ready to point if you can’t read or speak at least a little Japanese. All-in-all, a good place to get lunch or dinner if you’re in town.

Good variety of dishes at lunch and reasonably priced. Curry you can choose how spicy you like. If you order and finish the spiciest you get your picture taken

長岡のカレー屋さんと言えば、ナカタでしょう！ 老舗です。 高校の頃に、調子にのって50倍にチャレンジしてみるものの 完食できず、10年後に再度挑戦し完食。 激辛好きな方であれば50倍でも食べられると思います。 でも、個人的には20倍くらいが一番美味しく頂けます。 味ももちろんですが、店内の雰囲気も含めて、 時々無性に行きたくなるお店です。

A famous curry shop in Nagaoka. It is often featured in the media. However, rather than curry, it is Nagaoka B-class gourmet called Western-style katsudon. There are two types of Western-style katsudon, the tomato sauce-based flavor and the demiglace sauce base, but honestly, I don't think the tomato sauce base we sell is delicious. I think curry is usually delicious. However, I get the impression that the taste and price of each menu are not balanced.
