Must see temple while visiting Ikitsuki Island, make sure to go underneath the statue for your offering. The statue itself is enormous! Lovely views of the harbor and blue bridge as well. Goshuin is available!

The Buddha at this temple was interesting to see and stands out against the landscape of Hirado. You can visit the temple or worship space which seems to be underneath or inside the Buddha. There, you can find omamori or charms for various forms of protection. We didn’t explore the grounds much, but they also seemed small, so I’m not sure how much there was to see exactly.

Very interesting stop on Ikitsuki Island. There’s a small shop under the statue with more Buddha statutes inside.

Major sight-seeing attraction on Ikitsuki. The Buddha statue is quite large and is visible from many vantage points in the town. The overall temple, however, is not very large nor does it have a usual Japanese layout. There is no goshuin available here.
