Best dinner experience in Nara city. The chef will burn the food right in front of you, it was increasing your appetite so much. Taste of the beef is very good! The way they served in the plate is like an food contest attraction.

Wow. Wow wow wow. Having seen the photos and read the reviews I had my fingers crossed as I ascended the stairs to this experience. My pollyanna approach to traveling very often has me wandering down streets and striding up without a reservation, and tonight was no exception. Luckily, I'm here during the off season, and made my way over on a quiet Sunday night. I was greeted by a chef popping his head out of the kitchen, and a low pressure hello. (Not that "Reservation?" question that I dread). He walked me right to the front of the intimate grill that seats about 10. The next two hours were a movement. 2 chefs created each course, served us, explained the dishes, made very professional small talk. They started to crack smiles after I burst out laughing at the prawns trying to hop across the station. I was very impressed with how seamlessly they worked together here. There was never a sense of "my job your job" "my customer your customer". Just a comfortably relaxed experience of seamless, thoughtful service. And I haven't even had the opportunity to mention the dishes yet. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves while adding that each dishes flavors were beautifully balanced. I smiled from ear to ear with each bite. This is one of the most delicious and enjoyable meals I've had anywhere in the world. The only comparable experience I can think of may be a well known 2 Michelin spot in Cannes. Featured from my recollection: Amuse Bouche, Fish Confit, Foie Gras, Scallops, Prawns, Onion Soup (not pictured), Kobe Beef, Strawberry Mousse. Most dishes grilled (as implied), lightly seasoned, with charming accompaniments. The photos are unfiltered, unedited, not even cropped.

Great service and food. We had a great time chatting with our chef who showed us amazing hospitality. Beef was good but we have had better in other restaurants for a similar price.
