It is my first time to try this Kakino-ha-Sushi. It’s very unique style of sushi, wrapped by persimmon leaf and no soysauce dipping. Taste good, looking perfect as well. Saba (Mackerel) Samon are recommended! You can also add shrimp too! *FYI: Do not eat leaves. Just remove leaf nicely, fold and put them aside.

I had a set meal that included 2 pieces of persimmon leaves sushi, which is Nara’s specialty for around ¥1,400. In my opinion, the sushi has tol much rice but it’s nice to feel the persimmon flavor from the leaves. The place was small and cozy and the staff was really nice.

Really good authentic style sushi restaurant! Can sit on the floor at the small tables! Very good food presentation and interesting flavours!

Just going down hill, not only the quality of food, which is for tourist and over price, also the service... If visit, best to get talk away...

Food is quite good. I preferred the grilled mackerel over the traditional persimmon leaf wrapped sushi. There is a lot of rice in each piece, a little bit more than I preferred. There is an English menu
