Pretty average. Kamaage udon was good, not great. The inari sushi was pre-prepared and taken from a shelf. The fried tofu skin was slightly soggy when it came.

Fabulous local udon restaurant. Small but excellent menu - we had the shrimp tempura udon and it was delicious. Family run and everyone is very nice and welcoming. There is an English menu, although it is not very touristy. A little off the main Nara tourist strip but close to the train station - you will not be disappointed!

AMAZING UDON!! We had the tempura udon and we LOVED it, the noodles and tempura were perfect. Sigenoi Nara has fantastic service and was the most enjoyable experience we’ve had in Japan. If you’re in Nara for the day it is a MUST!
