Must try if you're in Nara! I tried their autumn season sushi and it tastes so fresh and good. I regretted that we didn't buy more for souvenir. I suggest you to eat inside the restaurant (to avoid deers) and also buy it as souvenirs (i heard it can lasts for 2 weeks?)

Fantastic food with great presentation!! The service was quick too. We had to wait about 15mins, which was very reasonable given that it was a busy weekend in Nara with people everywhere. Very good restaurant if you're in the area. We paid 3500yen for two people.

I had lunch at this restaurant and 10 minutes later I felt sick, resulting in having to call an ambulance and visit a hospital as I was violently ill due to food poisoning. I ate the ¥2,600 set but the medical bill was more than ¥93,000, amounting to a very expensive lunch. I regularly travel and eat food all over the world without ever getting sick, thus something was definitely wrong with this restaurant. Service, presentation and taste was great but there are no excuses for getting sick!

Amazing rice taste! More intense than usual sushi in Japan. The fish is very scarce (reason for lost point) and both the salmon and the white fish had a hint of pickled taste which works quite nice to make a different experience from regular sushi. Definitely try it if you are in Nara! (And definitely come to Nara if you are in Japan!)

bought a six-piece box for a picnic in the park. but the deer is very eager so couldn't really sit down to enjoy it. sushi itself was good though.
