Small and quiet station. Not all the trains stop here. This station does not have escalators or elevator.

The trains taken from the platform of Awawa Station are superb. The station building seems to be from the Taisho era. The station building was very good. There are no shops around the station. The impression is that it is a little lonely place.

If you arrive at Awa Station from the direction of Namba, you will need to exit the ticket gate, go through the track, climb the stairs, and get out of the platform. It is very variable. There is a lift for crossing the steps of the station from the ticket gate at the platform for Namba. For large luggage (carry), wheelchairs and strollers, it is safer to go to Misaki Koen Station, go to the opposite platform by elevator and turn back. There are nice cafes and florists at the post office, making it a fashionable spot.

It is the closest station to Tannowa Tokimeki Beach and Tannowa Yuen. The azaleas of Tannowa Yuen are famous. The azaleas are very beautiful. It is a section express / normal (local train) stop.
