I was surprised because the station building is better than expected, but it seems to be integrated with the public hall. When I was shooting inside the station, the rapid train just arrived. It is a station full of local feeling.

It is now a famous station with hot springs. Until a few years ago, it was famous as a station where you can eat authentic handmade soba, but the soba shop is closed. Also, a person who used to work part-time at Tsunan Station in front of the station was outsourced, but that person has also retired and is lonelier than before. Currently, there is a certain amount of garage for snow removal vehicles on one side and one line, but before it changed to the current station building in 1995, it was a station with exchange facilities, and when it was still called Echigo Sotomaru Station It was a station with many side lines and also an exit for various cargo and timber. In the past, ski lifts extended to the immediate vicinity of the station.
