I visited the site worried about insects, but Abu and a small gnat came immediately. 😥 I was planning to stay overnight, but I gave up. I will take another opportunity. It was a weekday, but are there two groups already? It was set up. The management building was unmanned because the manager could come to the procedure in the evening.
There is a dam upstream and be careful of sirens when released! ️ You should always keep in mind the flooding of the river. 😤
I used the tent site, but the river flowing in front of me is beautiful and healed. Facilities include a shower, a sink, and a toilet at a distance. There are no stores, and there are some drink vending machines.
There is no specific section, and you can set it up anywhere you like within the bounds of common sense. You can set up a tent next to the car, so it feels like an auto site.
It's a little far from the prefectural road, so you won't hear the sound of a car, but you may hear the sound of a train in the distance. The rest is the sound of birds, insects and the flow of the river.
You need a lot of equipment, but at night you can see many stars and you can enjoy the camp itself.
When I got off the road to the campsite, I was surprised to see a person swinging a golf club toward me. I guess I didn't hit the ball because the golf ball didn't fly, but what if the golf club hits the stone and the stone flies? The Wachinokawa Campground may also need a sign saying "No riverbed golf".
In addition, both men's toilets had been clogged before. Probably the cause is that the garbage was thrown into the flush toilet, but the garbage is basically returned to the soil, and even if you do not take it home, it is finely chopped so that it can be disassembled quickly, and then people outside the tent site I think it's better to sprinkle it in the bush that doesn't come in, or dig a hole in such a place and fill it.
I wrote all the complaints, but it is a good campsite with a beautiful river and a wide sky.
The location is inconvenient to access, but the large shallow river spreads out in front of you, making it ideal for playing in the water, and some people are kayaking. The site is a free plot, but the terrain along the river is full of quite a few campers. The price is as low as 1,000 yen, and it is equipped with a hot shower, but when I visited, the men's one was out of order. The downside is that the toilet is a little far away. There is no free site on the riverside, only on the lodge side across the street, so if you take a position at the innermost location far from the entrance, it is a little inconvenient to walk to the toilet in about 5 minutes. The toilet was Western style and clean.
Surrounded by mountains on all sides, I think it is a good campsite where you can spend a quiet time with few traffic.
The toilet and water area are clean and very nice.
