Unique to this season
It is an unmanned station. The light railroad that was abandoned in 1964 and Okayama Station on the Okuyama Line are also located near the north-west railroad crossing, and there are still a few home traces on the premises of private houses.
Previously, there was a station called Kiga High School in front of Shigaoka Prefectural Kiga High School, and many students got on and off.
Kiga High School was merged with the neighboring station, Hubei High School near Kinshi Station, and it disappeared, so I returned to the character name Okachi.
When you get on the bus, get the ticket and pay the fare at the exit station. The fare is displayed before and after the vehicle, so we recommend that you prepare in advance so that there is no change.
At the disembarkation station, it is different when paying the ride fare to the conductor and when paying to the station staff.
In 2015, the name was changed from Kiga Koukoumae Station.
It was named because the Okayama station on the Okuyama line of Enshu Railway was once located at almost the same position.

"Enshu Railway Okuyama Line (light rail)"
The light railroad is a railway with a narrow rail width of 762 mm (1067 mm for the Tenryu Hamanako Line), which can reduce construction and maintenance costs for vehicles, railway bridges, tunnels, platforms, etc. It was introduced in many places throughout Japan from the Meiji era to the early Showa era, backed by the Light Valve Railroad Act of 1910 (Meiji 43).
Hamamatsu Light Bulb Railway Co., Ltd. (later Hamamatsu Railway and then Enshu Railway Okuyama Line) was founded in 1912 (Taisho 1), and in 1914 (Taisho 3), Motojo-Kinshi first opened, then the following year. Between Itaya-cho (later Higashida-cho) and Kinshi-Kiga (later Kigaguchi), it was extended to Okuyama in 1923 (Taisho 12), and the entire line (25.8 km) was opened to the center of Hamamatsu. From the city, through the vast Mikatahara earth, it was connected to Okuyama in 2 hours (in 1925).
The station is almost the same structure as Chuo-ken University.
A cute Shiba Inu was strolling.
If you are coming from the direction of Hamamatsu on foot and go to Yongtan Temple, this is the nearest station. However, it is a bit far to go to Yongtan Temple on foot. A taxi is always resident at the Kumi fun station.
