There is a public bath called Taiyokan just inside the station or right next to the ticket gate. There is also a hotel (Folkrollo Takahata) directly connected to the station.

The east exit, which features a fairy tale station building, is annexed to a hot spring facility called Taiyokan, and there is a reception right next to the ticket gate. At the time of Nukanome Station, the west exit was in front of the station, and the Yamagata Railway once connected the city area. It was once unmanned after the abandoned line, and the station building was moved to the other side by changing the station name ahead of the opening of the Shinkansen. The current west exit has a prefabricated hut beside the connecting passage and is open only during the morning and evening hours, but it can be said that it is for locals. There is a business in the direction of the west exit, and when I try to climb the narrow stairs (small but there is also an elevator) in front of the station exit and go through the connecting passage ... I see red demons and blue demons waiting. The motif is the demon that appears in "Crying Red Demon" by Hirosuke Hamada from Takahata, and it seems that it was once placed at the ticket gate.
