It is a colored leaves temple that represents Toyohashi. Due to the low altitude, the autumn leaves are the latest and are likely to peak from late November to early December. Korankei is famous as a spot for autumn leaves in Aichi prefecture, but Fumonji is not defeated. From the Futagawa area, take a relatively narrow road. Please note that many vehicles pass through during the fall foliage season. Even if it's not the time of autumn leaves, it feels like a power spot in Toyohashi with plenty of ozone. There is no doubt that you will feel calm. We recommend that you visit when you pass nearby.

An ancient temple of the Shingon sect located at the foot of a mountain on the outskirts of Toyohashi City, near the border with Shizuoka Prefecture. The mountain number is Mt. Funagata. There are few private houses in the vicinity, and the large precincts are surrounded by rich greenery and tranquility. There are 6 precious Buddha statues designated as national important cultural properties in this temple, but it seems that you can only see them at the time of a big event. Cultural assets that are usually seen include the giant cypress tree on the right side of the Niomon gate and the 450-year-old Osugi in front of the main hall. These two trees are designated as natural memorials in Toyohashi City. In particular, Osugi in front of the main hall has thick roots straight in front of the main hall and stands firmly like the lord of this temple. The approach to the main hall bypasses this root and turns to the right. It doesn't seem to be very colored yet, but this temple is also a famous spot for autumn leaves. It is popular as Momiji Temple. This is my third visit after finding an article about the Momiji Festival. The number of red stamps on paper cutouts was also increasing. It seems that you can also mail it. Autumn leaves 🍁 I think it was a little early when it was in full bloom, but the seasonal scenery is wonderful.
