C'est Sympa

This was by far the best pork I've ever had!! The chef and his wife are amazing, very welcoming and nice people. I always travel alone but this was not a problem here, I sat at the bar and we had a nice conversation. The chef seems to love french cuisine and you can tell by his work. The food: The entrée was very refreshing in contrast to the summer heat in Kyoto, the pork and eggplant paste was amazing but the corn cream with the meat stock jelly on the side was very special. After that I had a delicate but flavorful cold soup. The star was the main course, best pork I've ever had, so tender and juicy it was spectacular. Dessert was good, highlight to the apricot sorbet. If you are visiting Nijo Castle or nearby make sure to stop at this restaurant.

Loved it! Stopped on a whim for lunch after a visit to the nearby castle so we were a bit informally dressed. The lunch option is a set menu - and everything we had was delicious. The chefs and waitress were cheerful and respectful in spite of our casual dress. One of the best meals we’ve eaten!

It is a cozy and cozy shop. From the counter, I can see my husband's skillful work, which is also fun.

The fillet steak and fish dishes were super delicious! The appetizer Escargot garlic butter first touched the heart, then the soup! ! I was surprised by the cuteness and taste of the rose paintings (* ^^ *) He couldn't drink, he was changing baguettes, but the baguettes were fluffy and very delicious! ! I went to the important day with him, but I also put a message on the dessert plate 😭❤️ I'm so happy that I want to go with him again! ! !
