Nice station and very good access to Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route from Nagano side. Wide parking lot space.

The entry of Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in Matsumoto side. You have to get off buses from Shinano-Omachi station to get on the next one here. This station has a ticket counter service which sells various types of tickets that fit for your plan (1 way trip or round trip). Many parking lots are in front of the station. Very good service by staffs who can manage the crowd to get on the bus on time. If you plan to travel via the alpine route from Matsumoto side, I highly recommend you all to arrive here in early morning to avoid the crowd.

The length of Kanden Tunnel from Ougisawa Station is 5.4 km under Mt. Akazawatake and it was constructed to transport building materials for the dam project. Noted on my wonder-tips site.

There are also buses to Shinani-Omachi JR station that take only 35 minutes and cost 136 yen.
