Miwasaki Station

It’s a station out in the sticks, so make sure you know the schedule and be early so you don’t miss your ride.

The convenience store is near, but the entrance to Miwasaki Station is far away.

In the JNR era, station staff were stationed permanently. However, due to the rationalization of the JNR, it became an unmanned station. IC cards such as ICOCA cannot be used at Miwazaki station.

The train bound for Shingu from Kiitabe at 7:51 will wait 11 minutes for the limited express train at Miwazaki station. Shortly after leaving Miwazaki Station, three or four short tunnels continued, and then suddenly a spectacular view of Nanri Mihama jumped into my eyes. It is a stone beach that draws a beautiful arc. Do not miss the photo opportunity.

The station just before Shingu. There are many regular trains between Shingu and Kii-Katsuura with 12 round trips, but the number is thick in the morning and evening. It seems that the city area has expanded between Miwasaki and Kii-Sano, and a convenience store (Famima) has been built along Route 42 behind the station at Shingu Port on the south side.
