Calo Bookshop & Cafe / Calo Gallery

Great shop for independent Japanese books and zines. Pretty large selection considering its small size. There is also a tiny cafe with reading space, overlooking the street. It's located in a fairly nondescript building, on the 5th floor.

The bookstore and the cafe are together, but it seems that it is NG to read the pre-accounting book at hand while at the cafe. The selection of books is interesting, but if you want to read pre-accounting books while relaxing in a cafe, we recommend a place like Tsutaya Bookstore.

It is an art book main bookstore with a gallery. It is also a cafe where curry is delicious, and there are also many customers looking for lunchtime on weekdays. I like both curry and coffee (you can get iced coffee as well) but blood orange juice is delicious and I always order it when I stop by. Within walking distance from the National Museum of Art and Design, the top floor of the building also contains a gallery of contemporary art and photographs, making it ideal for taking a break around the gallery.

I love the curry here. I am happy that you can adjust the spiciness yourself with the attached chili. The choice of books is also good.
