Not sure if it's because of renovation but there's no air conditioning here. I came in early August, the heat in the station was suffocating. The plus side is there's starbucks and cheap restaurants on ground floor.

Typical Japanese railway station, with trains and also buses and a little man (sorry to sound condescending or sexist) that blows his whistle as buses reverse. It looks to me that the station is undergoing some renovation currently. Near to all hotels and food outlets.
