It’s a small hub station for Nara, Ohji and Wakayama. It would be appreciated if there is 7-11 or any convenience store inside or around there.

There are only a few public facilities around. It gets a little crowded when used by students going to school. a bit lonely.

It's a station in the center of Yamatotakada city, but it feels quiet. There is a wide sidewalk on the east side of the station, and you can reach Kintetsu Takada Station with a short walk. Transfers are subtle, but I think they are within the transfer range. On the west side of the station, there is Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street and a small supermarket. In addition, taxis are waiting on this side, and it is from this side to get out to the city. The station yard is a little old as a facility. The toilet feels quite old. A junction between the Sakurai Line and the Wakayama Line. In addition, Datum has a direct rapid train bound for Namba. The competition is Kintetsu, but the fare is cheaper, so JR is less crowded.

This station has a very bad transfer time timing for a long time. It is normal to wait 30 minutes by changing trains from Oji to Gosho and Wakayama. If you are going to ride this route, check the information on how to get on board in advance!

This is a transfer station for the Wakayama Line / JR Mahoroba Line (Sakurai Line). Some trains operate directly without transfer. You can use IC cards such as ICOCA at Takada Station.
