The tourist information lady stands out with excellent and ambitious service offer and her friendly attitude. Her english is very good as well. She helped us to find some nice spots nearby while waiting for the train. If you are searching for the station stamp, you need to ask her.

I had to wait 40 min at Nagiso so the lovely lady at the tourist office at the trainstation kept my suitcase for half an hour while i went to see the big wooden bridge. When i came back she wrote down an itinerary for me with platform numbers and all. Very nice!

JR Line ticket counter opens from 7.50am to 4.05om. They take cash only. Lockers available for 300yen from 8am to 8am the following day.

Small station, dropped of here after the walk to Tsumago, by bus, 10 min. Waited for the JR express (!) to Matsumoto. Very kind tourist information, even took care of our luggage for an hour. Made a tour over the wooden suspension bridge. This Sunday one well stocked shop (lots of fruit and vegetables) was open, just 50m to the right.
