Food is very tasty. Maybe we arrived at abt 2 plus. Lots of food are not available anymore.

We were hosted by the 3rd generation owner of the restaurant who taken us by surprise that he spoke mandarin. He learnt it while he was studying in Taiwan. The restaurant and the building has been around for more than 100 years old, his grandfather first started the restaurant. They serve very traditional Japanese food as shown in the photos, variety of skewers were grilled over the charcoal by stabbing the sticks on sand. You can order an individual set platter which consist of a fish, konyak with pepper, tofu, taro, 3 pcs fried beancurd, rice and miso soup. Their tender chicken and pork skewers are also highly recommend.

Stumbled across this unexpected gem on the way to the nearby shrine. Historic family-run restaurant with delicious traditional dishes cooked over charcoals in your very own fire pit. Exceptionally friendly and obliging staff. Wonderful dining and cultural experience with easy parking and English menu available. (Note: the Google pin for this restaurant is the carpark. Walk down the slope behind the post office to the building that looks like a house but has travel agents logos tacked to the outside.)

The food itself is very very special and the chicken is beyond expectation! The owner is very hospitable and friendly especially to people from Taiwan. Had a wonderful experience here
