Waited for a seat for about 20min (which I believe is on the good side) Sat down and began to order. They had run out of the horse meat steak and the fried hamburger we were there for...after we had eaten one bite of the table fee appetizer. In the end, had to pay 880yen for leaving the restaurant with only a bite of food. Japanese service should be more attentive and caring: 1) prewarning customers before seating that the their most famous foods are sold out 2) understanding that they are in the wrong for running out of their signature dish 2hours before closing and not charging us

The best horse sashimi and horse meat I have ever had. Been to a few places in Tokyo that served horse meat but nothing compare to this. The horse sashimi just kind of melt in your mouth and it is better than A5 wagyu. The large horse katsu was spectacular too! Definitely go back if i have a chance to go back to Kumamoto!

Nice place to try kumamoto specialties. Nice ambient too. English menu available, although not including all the options available in the japanese menu.

Love this restaurant a lot!!!! Basashi (horse meat) may sound weird to you but once you try, you cannot go back! I was told by a Japanese friend to visit this restaurant because they serve one of the best basashi in Kumamoto. The only downside is the price is quite. We ordered 2 set of basashi, 1 basashi sushi, 1 fried horse meat, 1 sashimi rice and 2 drinks. It costed us around 12000 yen. It is not cheap definitely but once a while plus the food quality, you won't regret it
