Nice car camping place along the beach. They have toilets, cold water showers, and good shady spots. We paid ¥500 per person plus ¥500 for our tent. We came on a bicycle so there might be a parking fee too.
Pro tip:
If you make a reservation you will get one of the nicer spots. The free camping, it's not actually free but that's what they call it, area is in a playground full of kids and old squeaky playground equipment.
I used it during consecutive holidays in July 2020.
Because of bad weather, I was able to spend a relaxing time quietly with almost all the charters.
However, the impression that it seems that evaluation is low for beginners and women's campers.
It seems to me that my home, which uses only free campsites all year round, is evaluated fairly.
It takes about 20 to 30 minutes by car to reach the town where there are supermarkets, convenience stores, hot springs for day trips, etc., so it is recommended to go with some preparation.
Please note that there are no shopping facilities around the camp.
★ Good points ★
The person who is kind and nice of the caretaker
Beautiful scenery
The sea is beautiful and the waves are calm
Large parcel
You can drive in a car
Pet OK
The coast is in front of you
Garbage can also be discarded if it is sorted
Partly because of bad weather but quiet with few people
★The point that was not good★
High price for equipment quality...
Both the toilet and shower are old, and due to summer usage, I am afraid that there are a lot of insects.
This is also summer, so it can't be helped, but there are a lot of mosquitoes, feather ants, and other insects that make the tent site unusual.
It is very far to the toilet depending on the compartment
There is a hot water shower but I have the courage to use it by one woman...
(Because the entrance is directly in front and the upper and lower parts of the door are open, you can see that the shower is in use... It is scary for a single woman to use it in various ways)
There is a stop button during shower for 300 yen for 5 minutes, but even if it is stopped, it will count for 5 minutes
A road for living between the tent compartment and the coast? It seems that cars other than camping guests pass relatively often.
So the car passes through the front of the tent constantly, so I'm restless (my family was most concerned about this point)
The area behind the tent we used to live in is ruined, and because of the dimness even in the daytime, the height of the ocean view and the height of the head are too high (at night, it's scary to try).
The impression that the sea is relatively deep. I think small children should be careful.
The second time this year... It doesn't get too crowded, it feels like a campsite in the countryside, and in front of me it's the sea... arriving in the sea, eating and sleeping, and in the morning... I will.
2020 6 / 6-6 / 7 Shodoshima after the state of emergency is lifted.
All the famous campsites were closed in early June, but I made a reservation because it was vacant for some reason.
GOOD
Toilet / shower available
Garbage can be thrown away
Car side OK
You can drink through the water supply
Nightlight Yes
No bears, no monkeys, no wild boars
There is a vending machine and there is no shortage of cold drinks
It's on the north side of the island, so it's comfortable because it's blocked by mountains and the sun doesn't shine.
Since it is also on the north side, the sea during the day is clear and easy to see (although it is not a beautiful sandy beach)
The terrain is also helpful and it is relatively cool.
BAD
The road in front of the tent site is a living road
Cars pass by frequently. Only here ☆ -1
Telephone reservation: Evening collection required
I think that the evaluation is greatly divided depending on the person who uses it.
I can't throw away the trash because I don't have enough water to drink
If you have a toilet, it ’s just a good campsite.
As a person who is going, the contents are completely exhausted.
It can be said that it is luxurious.
The sea campsite gets a lot of tension-I want to go there again.
It's been a while since I came. It is Taihama where you can swim and camp. It was strange that the yacht was moored at the diving board without a protective net for swimming, but it is a quiet sea. In the old days, there was only a water shower, but the water pressure was weak at 300 yen for 5 minutes, but it was warm water! It's an evolution! I used to camp every year. I missed it. Although I spend a small hour staying after swimming in the sea, there are plenty of water areas if I use a toilet or camp. There was a hammock directly attached to the tree, but I felt that it would be better to cover it because it damages the tree, but there is a ferry platform in the immediate vicinity, so if you do not enter the city center it is overwhelming I think it's a secret place.
