A nice little temple that I went to for the special goshuin (the gold daikon stamp), but it was actually a nice little walk around some gardens; a pond garden, rock garden & moss garden.

Bodaiji Temple, the owner of Izushi Castle, Sukyoji Temple on Mt. Another name is Takuan Temple. There are "Tsurukame no Niwa" and "Shinji no Ike" where Sawaan Kazuhisa was made, and "Takuanken" where Sawaan Kazuhisa spent eight years. There is also a monument to Naonosuke Kawasaki, the first husband of the heroine "Yae no Sakura" of the NHK Taiga drama "Yae no Sakura". The red stamp is worth a look.

I forgot my wallet and couldn't worship, so it was a photo session at the parking lot ^^; I couldn't see Enkianthus perulatus. I knew that "Takuan" was the name of the monk I didn't know that I was born in Izushi-cho, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture. Next time, I would like to visit slowly. I didn't even know that it was the Rinzai sect Daitokuji school. It has a deep connection with "Daitokuji", which was revived by Zen Master Ikkyu.

The temple where Takuan originated. It seems that Takuan has spread to the public because Sakuan Osho who is here presents Takuan pickled pickled radish to Iemitsu Ko. From that point, the red stamp has a radish design. Izushi is about 10 minutes walk from the center. It is a magnificent temple on the hill above the slope. I couldn't meet the priest, but Okami taught me the history of Izushi and the temple. I would like to visit again slowly.
