The experience is amazing! The people are friendly and welcoming. It’s great to see a group of people gathering together on their passion of gliding and their generous sharing of their passion with us!

Really super nice, educated, friendly, and English-speaking people! They let me do a trial flight, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Kind of scary, but great overall. When they're flying nobody is in the hangar so you have to catch them by the river, where they have their operation center-looking van. It's obviously far from the station by foot. It was easy to find by bicycle from Tokyo, but maybe better to just go by train till fujioka station, and then get on bike/taxi from there. I talked with a couple of other clubs for a trial flight, but none had their professionalism and good manners. If you want to fly a glider or have a trial and you live in Tokyo, this is the place to go.

My family and I visited the club in March 2017. As a Canadian gliding instructor, finding a gliding club in Japan was a great idea for a vacation highlight. I received excellent instructions on how to arrive by train, the club's taxi whisked us to the club, and an instructor introduced us to everyone on the field. A senior instructor, Masafumi Inagaki, flew backseat with me up front in their G103 Acro III, we got up to 6800' and flew the local area. The club is friendly, the aircraft are all in very good shape. The hanger is HUGE and there are many privately owned ships. The club members were all enthusiastic and happy to be there. I even met the club president, Mrs. Haruka Kise, who was most generous and shared some highlights of her gliding career with me and my family. I can't say enough good about this club and we're planning to visit again in the near future.

Itakura Gliderport, super friendly glider club!

The weather is fine today so I went to the Itakura Gliding Field where I had visited before! ️I was lucky enough to see how it moved to the hangar, and I was allowed to take 6 to 7 photos, and I uploaded it. ️I received a good response. However, tonight, I opened it because I thought it was being read often, but it was erased! ️ Google map everyone I would like to write about how it happened, there was also before. There was also in other people and there was a word of mouth. In addition, I was updated again today! ️ Above ※ I'm currently in a nursing home because of a backache! ️
