It is also the terminal station of the Mino-Akasaka branch of the Tokai Main Line and the starting station of the Seino Railway. Seinō Railway freight will carry the limestone produced from Mt. Kinsei to Mino-Akasaka Station, which will be taken over by the JR freight train and transported to the steelworks in southern Nagoya. The cargo used is called red hoki, and it is a rare cargo that is operated only here in Japan. In addition, Seino Railway is also a railway company specializing in limestone transportation, and the line is only about 2 km, which I think will also shake the hearts of railway lovers. The surrounding area retains the remnants of Mino-Akasaka-juku and is a tasteful cityscape. By posting from a smartphone It is a pity that there is no photo.

7 minutes from Ogaki station to another world. There is a shock of going back to the early Showa period or the Taisho era by riding a time machine. It's amazing that the railway scenery like this still remains! ️ Freight trains are also active. Ogaki station is crowded with a lot of people, so the drop will stand out again! ️

The last thing I left on JR Tokai during this trip was between Ogaki and Mino Akasaka Station. Please note that trains do not arrive for about 3 hours during the day. However, the use of local people is reasonable. I think that it is an interesting station for those who have a strong iron content, such as an old station building, a freight line that continues, a freight platform that is no longer used.

While I was driving around Sekigahara, my husband and kids, who love freight, said, "Let's go to Mino-Akasaka station," so I hurried. It's on the old Nakasendo, so I arrived by relying on the navigation system. I thought it was a very retro station building made of wood, but it is a station building made in 1919. It is a valuable station building that has survived the air raids of the Pacific War.

I came to the station I stopped by when I was walking along the old Nakasendo 56th road. This was Mino-Akasaka Station, a branch line of the Tokaido Main Line, and was also a station for JR Tokai, JR Freight, and Seino Railway. It's been 6 years since I was walking on Nakasendo in June 2014, but it seemed like the time had stopped here. At that time, I rented a bicycle here and went around the city I was walking on again, but forgot to check if there was still a bicycle to rent. This railroad is Mino-Akasaka Opened in 1919 (Taisho 8) for the purpose of transporting limestone and marble produced in the surrounding area, this line has a history as it was the birthplace of internal-combustion diesel cars (gasoline engines) during the JNR era. The train bound for Ogaki at 10:53 slipped into the platform. After this, I plan to follow the Ichihashi line, but in 2006 another lunch line was abolished, but the abandoned line trace I saw when I came here was the original lunch line trace. A huge limestone factory appears along the Ichihashi line. Mt. Kinsei is a mountain located on the southeastern end of the Ibuki Mountains, and the original altitude was 217.1 m. Boasting the highest production of limestone, only a small part of the southeastern part where Myojorinji is located remains. It is said that the marble produced from this area was indispensable for the modernization of Japan, and typical buildings were used for the Diet Building and the Bank of Japan. To the east of Kinseisan Shrine, there is the Kinseisan Fossil Museum, which displays about 300 fossils excavated from this mountain, and the admission fee is 100 yen. June 2014 I came to Gifu prefecture as a sequel to "Let's walk the old Nakasendo 56th". While the expressway toll was raised on July 5th to secure financial resources for reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake, I wanted to walk an inn far from my home. Until now, Nihonbashi Fukaya-shuku, Yokogawa station Iwamurada-shuku, and Akasaka-juku Kusatsu-juku have been worm-eaten, but these are strategic and unavoidable. And yesterday, I walked between Mitake-juku and Akasaka-juku, and this morning I arrived at Akasaka-juku from Kano-juku, but I made a mistake with the wrong train time and went out to visit Akasaka-juku again by rental cycle using the waiting time. You can rent a bicycle for free at Mino-Akasaka Station. The station was unmanned, but people were stationed there. If you ask the translation, it seems that he is not a JR Tokai person but a JR Freight person. I thought that a bicycle was such an easy vehicle to move around. No matter how urgent you are, you can barely walk 4 miles, but it's easy to pedal a few meters. There was such a difference that I didn't like walking. I arrived at Akasaka Minatokan, where I could go inside and listen to various stories from volunteers. Akasaka Port used to be a wide river, and the load went down to Kuwana ... It used to be white in the town (lime). (For carrying out) ... I'm glad I was able to come back here. The wrong time led to a good result, and I thought that God hadn't abandoned me yet, so I didn't think about it and I would miss the train this time. There was a lot of marble in the cargo yard of the station. When I returned to the station, I was shooting with a model, but I didn't know the model name, and I thought I didn't even hear it. However, this station on the local line is very quaint and may be a perfect station for shooting.
